Data sources

Where the data comes from.

Orange Slice does not sell one big database. For each job it calls the provider that does that job well, and the agent picks the right one for the question you ask.

01 / Companies and people

A B2B database, plus search on top of it

Company records and LinkedIn profiles come from a B2B database we query directly. Search, lookalikes and local businesses come from the providers that do each one best.

MixRank
Company records and LinkedIn profiles, queried as a database.
Ocean.io
Company and people search, including lookalikes of your customers.
Google Maps
Local businesses, through the Google Places API.
Apify
LinkedIn posts and profiles, and any other Apify actor you choose to run.

02 / Emails and phones

Work emails and phone numbers, checked before you see them

BetterContact finds work emails and phone numbers, and it checks several vendors in turn itself. Findymail is our second provider. ZeroBounce checks every email found and drops the ones it marks invalid.

BetterContact

Findymail
Work emails and phone numbers, as the second provider.
ZeroBounce
Checks each email before it reaches your sheet.
FullEnrich
Finds the LinkedIn profile behind an email address.

03 / Signals and technology

What a company is doing right now

Hiring, funding and the software a company runs are the signals that make a list worth calling. These come from providers that track them.

PredictLeads
Job posts, financing events, technologies and products.
BuiltWith
The technology a website runs, and the sites that run a given tool.
RB2B and Maverick
The companies and people who visit your website.

04 / Web research

When the answer is on a web page

Most questions a rep asks have no database column. For those, the agent searches the web, reads the pages, and fills the cell from what it read.

Serper
Google search results.
Firecrawl
Reads and crawls websites.
Kernel
A real browser, for pages that need one.
Anthropic, OpenAI and Google
The AI models that read pages and fill columns.

05 / What it costs

You pay in credits, per lookup

One credit costs $0.002 at the base rate, and the monthly plans give you more credits per dollar. Before a run of six rows or more, the agent shows what it will cost and asks you first. See the plans.
